The Business
A fantastic opportunity has opened up with the NZ National Fieldays Society (NZNFS) team; owners of one of the biggest events centres in New Zealand. Curating and running the largest agricultural show of its type in the Southern Hemisphere – Fieldays™, the team at the Mystery Creek Events Centre also hosts a number of New Zealand iconic events including, Baptist Easter Camp, Sika Show, NZ Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show and more.
The Role
This is an exciting, fixed term role, which will assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of Fieldays and provide administrative support when required for the NZNFS team. You’ll be a highly motivated person who thrives in a busy, varied environment. You must have flexibility to work additional hours when required, be adept at thinking on your feet and staying focused during pressured times to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Fixed term period: 31 March - 27 June 2025 (3 months)
You will be expected to:
- Assist with the planning and delivery of the Fieldays event
- Meet all critical milestones and deadlines
- Maintain positive internal and external relationships
- Accurately complete set up schedules, run sheets, floor plans and other event documents as required
- Assist with pre and post event briefings with clients
The Candidate
You will have at least two years' experience in a similar event administrator role with highly developed communication skills.
Good planning and organisation skills with the capacity to effectively handle competing demands to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills, an approachable manner with the ability to remain calm, problem solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
Strong team orientation with the ability to work well within a team environment.

The Business
An opportunity has opened up with the NZ National Fieldays Society (NZNFS) team; owners of one of the biggest events centres in New Zealand. Curating and running the largest agricultural show of its type in the Southern Hemisphere – Fieldays™.
All exhibitors and contractors requiring access to the Fieldays ‘Event Zone’ prior and post to event days are required to complete a Health & Safety induction.
The Role
This fixed term ‘rostered’ role, of which there are two positions available will join an existing team of six to support the induction process in the lead up to and post the Fieldays event with the fixed term period being between the 05 May - 04 July 2025. The total hours across the fixed term period will be approx. 90 - 100 hours.
You will be expected to:
- Ensure all contractors are wearing Hi-Viz vests before entering the site
- Scan QR codes when presented at the gate for scanning
- Help with directions as required
- Ensure traffic flows well without any holdups
- Provide face-to-face inductions as required
- Assist with entering data using the equipment provided
- Ensure customers experience a professional, consistent and high-quality service that demonstrates our customer focus and commitment
The Candidate
- Be calm and level-headed, personable and helpful
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently
- Some knowledge of the Fieldays event and site (not essential)
- Reliable and fit with the ability to spend the day on your feet
- Able to work under pressure and in all weather conditions
- Understanding of Health & safety requirements
- Basic computer literacy
