A HANDSHAKE, A PIE, AND A SIGNED PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN FIELDAYS AND THE ‘JAC OF ALL TRADES’
A handshake and a pie have sealed a new deal between Fieldays® and JAC (“Jack”). Coming on board as a major sponsor of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event, the relationship marks an exciting milestone as JAC introduces its top-of-the-line T9 4WD double cab ute to the market, joining its fleet of 100% EV and Cummins Diesel Trucks.
“We are really excited to have JAC onboard and help them showcase a ute that has been built with truck DNA to the New Zealand market at Fieldays,” says Richard Lindroos, CEO, New Zealand National Fieldays Society.
The alignment with Fieldays underscores JAC’s ambition to establish itself as a key player in the ute sector, showcasing JAC as the ultimate “JAC of all trades” – a ute ready to tackle the challenges Kiwi drivers demand on and off-farm or the work site.
“Being a brand that’s new to New Zealand, we’re stoked to be getting behind Kiwis and supporting the team at Fieldays and Mystery Creek Events Centre,” says JAC NZ General Manager Andrew Craw. “Before launching the T9 here we’ve been putting it through its paces both on and off NZ roads. It’s been tested for Kiwis by Kiwis; built with truck DNA it’s a proven workhorse. It's also officially NZ's safest ute with its 5-star ANCAP score,” says Craw.
And the real showstopper? A dedicated spot to keep your pie warm or your drinks cool until the tasks at hand are done.
“We reckon this will be a hit with the hardworking farmers and tradies who know the value of a good smoko break”, says Lindroos.
To celebrate this partnership, every Friday throughout May, JAC and Fieldays will be parking up in locations around the Waikato to show off the JAC T9. Stay tuned for our Pie Day Friday location on social media, drop by and grab a pie (they’re on us!). "We're looking forward to kicking off Pie Day Friday, the pies are on us, and we've also got some Fieldays tickets to giveaway too," says Craw.
Fieldays is also being supported with the use of JAC’s 100% EV Light Duty Truck. The EV Truck will allow Fieldays and Mystery Creek Events Centre to continue to reduce its carbon emissions with zero tailpipe emissions, as well as lowering operational running costs.
Along with displaying its range of trucks, the new JAC T9 utes will be on display at Fieldays and scanning your registered Fieldays Smart Band will get you in the draw to win a JAC T9 complete with a tow bar, with the T9 at its sharp launch price of $49,990+orc.
The JAC T9 ute – pie warmer and all – will be on display at Fieldays on site F90 from 11 – 14 June 2025 at Mystery Creek.
