One NZ helping fund the next generation of environmental guardians
Girls who Grow growing funds on One Good Kiwi
06/2024
Did you know that only 6% of New Zealand’s school leavers go into jobs in the agriculture sector - and most are male?
One New Zealand is helping to change that by funding Girls who Grow. Girls Who Grow encourage young women into careers in our food and fibre industry via workshops, challenges, experiences and farm visits, supporting young women to connect back to the land. Aotearoa needs the voices of environmentally conscious and educated young women in the agricultural sector and Girls who Grow make it happen!
Last year, they joined One New Zealand’s One Good Kiwi initiative which offers charities the chance to have a share in $100k every month. The $100k is divided between a handful of charities each month, based on how many digital tokens they get from the public. Find Girls who Grow on www.onegoodkiwi.nz this month and flick your digital tokens their way to increase their share of this month’s $100k from One New Zealand and grow the next generation of changemakers.
