Fieldays 2024 Tractor Pull Winners Announced  

This year’s Fieldays Tractor Pull winners are celebrating their victories during the 49th year of the competition being held at Fieldays. 

Contestants put their machines to the test battling it out in various categories determined by tractor and load weight, age and modifications. 

With the impressive machinery and sound of engines revving it’s no surprise that this area attracts thousands of spectators. This year was no exception, with hundreds of punters lining the bank to watch the action. 

The purpose-built Fieldays Tractor Pull track is a hard clay-packed area running parallel alongside the Waikato River. At 100 metres long, it stretches the length of an entire rugby field. 

This year’s action was supported by Fieldays Tractor Pull Sponsors Corson Maize and Giltrap AgriZone. The heats were held throughout the four days, and the results were announced today. 

Marie Rechner, the Venue Operations Manager at the New Zealand National Fieldays Society, said of the preparation leading up to the event, “it’s a lot of work, but encouraging to see an increase in entries year on year. It's great to see this sport, which has been around since the 1800s, still so popular.”

A huge thank you to all the competitors and congratulations to this year’s winners who are heading home with a share of the $5,000 prize pool along with bragging rights and more Fieldays memories. 

“We are already looking forward to next year when we will celebrate 50 years of Tractor Pull at Fieldays,” said Marie.
