100 DAYS TO GO UNTIL FIELDAYS - THE PLACE TO BE FOR INNOVATION, CONNECTION, AND DOING BUSINESS IN THE RURAL SECTOR.
With just under 100 days until Fieldays® 2025, excitement is building as New Zealand’s largest agricultural event gears up to showcase innovation and the primary industries best in show across the motu. Taking place from Wednesday, 11 June to Saturday, 14 June 2025 at Mystery Creek, Fieldays sites are already just under 90% booked, featuring a diverse range of exhibitors, from large corporates to local agribusinesses. The primary sector contributes billions annually to New Zealand’s economy, supporting thousands of livelihoods across farming, forestry, fisheries, and food processing. With a GDP contribution of over NZD 14.4 billion (year ending March 2024), agriculture remains a key driver of exports and innovation. Expect a strong focus on agricultural innovation at this year’s event, with the Fieldays Innovation Awards, the Innovation Hub, and exhibitors highlighting the latest from New Zealand and abroad.
“Visitors attend to see things they would not otherwise see. Procurement professionals and industry leaders can explore solutions and meet the people and companies behind these big on-farm solutions,” says Taryn Storey, Acting CEO of the New Zealand National Fieldays Society- the not-for-profit running Fieldays. “This is the place for industry leaders, farmers, and innovators to meet face-to-face, explore groundbreaking solutions, and see them in action.”
Since its start in 1969, Fieldays has evolved with the agricultural industry in mind, and this year is no different. Alongside a display of cutting-edge primary machinery and equipment technology from exhibitors, that continues to streamline the industry, Fieldays will introduce the Fieldays Drone Zone in association with the Agricultural Drone Association (ADA) at this year's event.
The Drone Zone is a must-visit for anyone eager to see how drones are revolutionising farm management and presents an opportunity for attendees to explore the latest agricultural drone technology, career opportunities, certification pathways, and live demonstrations of on-farm drone applications. “Fieldays is a great fit for agricultural professionals looking to embrace new technology,” says Craig Simpson, President of the ADA. “Advocating for New Zealand’s agricultural drone operators and enhancing skills within the industry is crucial as we move towards smarter, more efficient farming.”
Other Fieldays favourites, including the Rural Advocacy Hub, the Forestry Hub, the Careers & Education Hub and the Hauora Taiwhenua Health & Wellbeing Hub will house interactive exhibits and industry insights, creating an engaging and inclusive experience for visitors of all ages. Competitions and demonstrations, including the 50th anniversary of the famous Fieldays Tractor Pull, Fieldays Fencing, and Excavators will return to entertain the masses.
Updates this year will see the Family Fun Zone moving to the Agricultural Heritage Village, offering a perfect mix of education and entertainment. Adding to the experience, the Dairy Museum is reopening after five years, giving visitors a glimpse into New Zealand’s rich farming history. The Fieldays Site Awards, which recognise exhibitors who create outstanding visitor experiences, will for the first time, add visitor voting to the mix.
Tickets go on sale in early May, with entry prices unchanged from 2024.
